Moving Cautiously

First, I painted the background with green watercolours. Then I drew a sketch of the woman with charcoal. Afterwards I added the larger red and yellow specks with more watercolour. Finally, I used Indian ink on the woman and tried to erase the charcoal as good as possible.


I used a screenshot from the old German movie "Metropolis" as reference. This is the scene were Maria returns from the mass she just gave for the workers. She suspects being followed. And a few scenes later, she ends up as prisoner in the house of crazy scientist Rotwang.

I had fun doing this piece. I finished it quite quickly for my pace in about 8 hours.
